Accessibility Statement

We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader, need high contrast, or browse at high zoom levels.

What we have done

• Semantic structure. Pages use proper headings, landmarks and lists so assistive technology can navigate them. Each page has a single main heading.
• Keyboard access. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and a visible focus outline shows where you are. A “skip to main content” link appears when you first press Tab.
• The mobile menu is a standard button with an accessible name and state, keeps focus inside itself while open, and closes with the Escape key.
• Text alternatives. Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Colour contrast. Body text, headings and buttons are checked against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
• Resizable text. The layout uses relative units, so it reflows rather than breaking when text is enlarged.
• Reduced motion. Animations are subtle and are switched off entirely for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
• Accessible forms. Every field has a visible, correctly associated label, and errors are announced rather than shown by colour alone.
• Expandable answers. FAQ sections use native browser controls, so they work with or without JavaScript.

Known limitations

Content added after launch — particularly images, embedded maps and documents uploaded to the site — may not always meet the same standard. Where an embedded third-party service is used, we do not control its accessibility.
