NPK 20-20-20 + TE Water Soluble

A balanced, fully soluble NPK with trace elements — the general-purpose grade for vegetative growth and for programmes that need one product to do several jobs.

Typical analysis

Indicative figures for the standard grade. Ask us for the current specification sheet before ordering.
Total nitrogen (N) 20.0% w/w
) 20.0% w/w
Potassium oxide (K₂O) 20.0% w/w
Trace elements (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, B, Mo) Chelated, included
Insoluble matter Low
Solubility in water (20 °C) Fully soluble

A balanced 20-20-20 is the fertigation equivalent of a general-purpose tool. It supplies nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in equal proportions along with a chelated trace element package, which makes it a straightforward choice during vegetative growth and for operations that would rather run one product well than five products approximately.

The characteristic that matters commercially is solubility. A soluble NPK that leaves insoluble residue will eventually cost you a filter clean, an emitter replacement or an uneven application, and those costs exceed whatever was saved on the purchase price.

Where it fits in a programme

  • Early vegetative growth in protected vegetable crops
  • Nursery, ornamental and turf production
  • Foliar feeding at reduced concentration
  • Situations where dosing equipment or labour is limited

Where to go next

As fruiting begins, consider NPK 11-8-34 + TE to shift the ratio towards potassium. If you are unsure how to read the numbers on a fertilizer bag in the first place, our guide to NPK ratios explains what they actually represent — and why P₂O₅ and K₂O are not the same as elemental P and K.

Keep calcium nitrate running alongside it through fruit development, and note that concentrated calcium must never share a stock tank with concentrated phosphate. The fertigation guide covers building the full solution.

How it is typically used

Used through the irrigation system during vegetative growth, or as a foliar feed at lower concentration. Growers usually shift to a higher-potassium grade as the crop moves into fruiting.

General guidance only. Application rates depend on crop, growth stage, soil and water analysis and local regulations — always follow the product label and your own agronomic advice.

Questions about this product

When should I move off a balanced grade?

Balanced NPK suits vegetative growth. As the crop begins fruiting, potassium demand rises sharply and a high-potassium grade usually gives a better result.

What does the trace element package add?

It covers the micronutrient requirement without a separate product, which simplifies dosing in smaller operations. Larger growers often prefer to dose trace elements separately for finer control.

Will it clog drip emitters?

Not if it is dissolved fully before injection and the water is compatible. Most blockages come from mixing incompatible products or from calcium and phosphate reacting in the line.
